Corynn Ginnow, M.A., L.C.S.W.

she/her/hers

Corynn is a relational therapist who uses evidenced-based treatments in authentic, person-centered ways. She works with all ages and is especially drawn to adolescents and emerging adults as they navigate identity, relationships, risk-taking, and growth.

Corynn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who completed her undergraduate and master’s education at the University of Chicago. She has experience in school-based and hospital settings working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, including treating eating disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders at the outpatient level. Corynn’s approach to therapy is grounded in understanding individuals within their unique environments. She values the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for effective treatment, and she approaches clients with warmth, openness, and humility. Corynn integrates modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

As a former school social worker, Corynn has extensive experience supporting IEP/504 plans, school refusal, social anxiety, ADHD, ASD, behavioral challenges, trauma, bullying, and relational stressors. She is also trained in evidence-based eating disorders treatments including Family-Based Treatment (FBT), CBT-E, and CBT for ARFID. Therapy is bidirectional – working with Corynn, you may hear about her love for sports, her love for animals, and what show she’s catching up on.

We all need a village. Change can happen when we take one small step at a time and have the right support around us to guide, push, encourage, and help us pick back up again. For a short time or a longer time, therapy can be a helpful part of the village.
